God Won't Ask

God won't ask what kind of car you drive,
But will ask how many people you drove
who didn't have transportation.

God won't ask the square footage of your house,
But will ask how many people you welcomed into
your home.

God won't ask about the fancy clothes you had in your closet,
But will ask how many of those clothes helped the needy.

God won't ask about your social status,
But will ask what kind of class you displayed.

God won't ask how many material possessions you had,
But will ask if they dictated your life.

God won't ask what your highest salary was,
But will ask if you compromised your character to
obtain that salary.

God won't ask how much overtime you worked,
But will ask if you worked overtime for your
family and loved ones.

God won't ask how many promotions you received,
But will ask how you promoted others.

God won't ask what your job title was,
But will ask if you performed your job to
the best of your ability.

God won't ask what you did to help yourself,
But will ask what you did to help others.

God won't ask how many friends you had,
But will ask how many people to whom you
were a true friend.

God won't ask what you did to protect your rights,
But will ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
But will ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won't ask about the color of your skin,
But will ask about the content of your character,

God won't ask how many times your words matched your deeds,
But will ask how many times they didn't.

GOD BLESS

About white_bunny_the_great

I'm Thao. I'm F-1 student. I'm pursuing pharmacy. To reach my goal, now Im studying nursing in 4 years(because im not eligible to take 2-year program), hopefully, with entire of my determination, enthusiasm for healthcare field, hardstudying, and hardworking, I will be approved to work in a hospital and become a U.S citizen. Then I will keep going to pharmaceutical school. Recently, I'm living alone in the States and working full time in a nail salon (in summertime) but in fall semester and spring one, i work at the weekend to make and meet all the tuition fee, books, and utilities. My parent can't afford to pay these expenses, so I have to struggle to make money for the study. Thus, all I wish is money to go to school.

Im studying in a community college and next year im going to transfer to a 4-year university for nursing program. It would be great if I had money for pharmaceutical school.

I appreciate your time to read my note.

Hi!  I am an entrepreneur who understands the frustration and loneliness of running your own business (or businesses), I am also an investor and I also know the "lost-ness" and frustrations of the journey to success.. a few (maybe allot today1!) bumps and bruises for those of us out here doing things! ... But boy do we learn as they say... fail your way to success … some of us are just too stubborn and thick not to make it! .. So take the time to look at you "success trail" bumps and bruises and learn those incredible lessons .. About people about your self about timing about money about better educated decisions! You have paid the tuition now read the "notes" on your trail then let go do not look back with regrets but keep your notes and “keep on  trekking” you are not eh road your will get there if you stick to it! .  You might change vehicles but you will bet there wiser and solid.. and you then have the confidence and where with all to do it again and again! But wow is it wonderful getting there! . And then learning how to stay there! So please .. a bit of whining and crying.. commiserating.. but then ... solutions... figuring the turning points so you can make different turns and keep moving you can help but not anyway! ... The best to you and yours! Sincerely,Kathy aka Shinekmj!

The need for schooling

Hello my name is Jim Quick and I am a 41 year old with a bad past I spent 21 years in prison and have now found myself back on the streets without an education or job skills that will give my family and myself a future. I was working for a home interior store as delivery/installation but due to the economy was recently layed off. The wife had lost her job only 2 weeks before that so now life is looking bleak again. However, I am not the kind of person who sits back and waits for things to happen but rather will go out and make things happen. I have enrolled in college to get my Associates in Marine Technology since I live at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri where there is always a demand for boat mechanics. I could've just took the vocational course for Marine Tech but decided that getting the degree would raise my options for a job as well as giving me more opportunities to make more money in this chosen career. I decided to take this course because of the marketability for this skill.

The good thing is that my wife was able to find a job quickly but its still not enough. We were barely making it before with two incomes but now its downright impossible. My unemployment will luckily run the length of the my schooling which is the only reason we can afford for me to do this. I want to do everything in my power to make up to my family for my past transgressions and the fact that they never once turned their backs on me. My wife stood by my side through everything and for that I will succeed in this career choice so that I can give her the home she has wanted for years and make it possible for her to walk through town with her head up high.

Hard Work pays off and so does Craigs list lol

Well the sappy message I posted before has taken a turn for the better.  I took the week off of work (luckily I have a boss that is cool enough to let me) and tackled my situation like a beast.  After checking with several people and looking at a dozen different places, I found the perfect place for me and my kids.  I move in next week and my current landlord is being cool as hell since I was honest with him and just told him there was no way that I could pay him the money I owe hime.  The new place will allow me to save money for once and get my stuff together.

The rest is up to me.  I can find myself in this situation again if I don't start making the right moves.  I still have a long way to go, but my landlord is willing to let me pay him off little by little until I have paid him off the back rent that I owe him.  I'm so happy about all of this just wanted to share it with someone.

Getting What You Need Finacially

The Person that puts everything in focus and uses integrity (Your word is your bond) will never be a failure.

Bill gates did not make billions in one day. You will not either. Michael Jordan rode the bench for 3 years of high school basketball later to become the best there ever was because of thier focus of what thier talant is.  That thing that you cannot shut up about, put that focus on your talent, when you wake up, say out loud "I am the best...(your talent)." put up photos of your dreams. write down your daily plan to step toward your dream. get with a mentor in your profession or dream and learn from them. if you are like me i learn from the cd's at the local library, i learned in my car while i am going somewhere 3 min here, 5 min there adds up. because i do not have time to read but traffic lights give me time to listen.

you need to help others that have more, and more problems with helping them fix their problems and in turn it will come back to you. start by asking your boss a simple question. " boss what are your three biggest problems/conserns. and then go to work on how to help and the odds are at least one of them you can do something about if you take the time to do so.

martin luther king jr stated to never give up on your dreams simply because of how long it might take.

Looking for Employment

I am willing to do what it takes.  I'm smart, intelligent, fun loving, and hungry for success.  I don't want just a job!  I want Success!  I want to be a part of something bigger than me, and be bigger than I used to be.  I want to help others, and to make a HUGE impact on other people's lives in possitive ways.  I understand the necessities of loans, I understand the needs and demands of society.  I understand the concept of supply and demand.  I understand the absolute need of proper advertising.  I understand the necessity behind taxes.  I understand why we have many of the programs we do.  But I feel that we are over processing the the process in ways that aren't condusive to success.  People need to find success, and many need it at home.  There is no reason that we don't have programs for single parents to be able to work from home.  There is no reason that we can't/won't help people who can't get out of their house for disability reasons, with employment from home.  We can do this!  It's not that complicated.  It's so very simple, and easy.  Instead, for some reason, we have Tanf, and other programs having you do anything but.  Sure it's condusive to getting A JOB, but not condusive to success.  We need more than just "Jobs".  We need more businesses, more opportunities to open their own business, and more Resource Jobs.  Instead, we are in massive Lay offs, and budget cuts, and robbing hard working people of their right to the persuit of happiness.

Here in the U.S. we need to re establish resource jobs, Companies that Offer Paid Training to the people that need it.  And so much more.  Don't tell me that we can't do it.  Because I know Good and Well that we can.

When you don’t succeed there is a lesson there to be learned

As I was approaching my next article I started to think about my pass and what has gotten me through those tuff times. I know that I’m not the only one who has gone through some ruff parts but there is something there. Why does this happen to me? I ask myself at times. Why can’t life be easy? Does this happen to others? Am I the only one with this problem?

I don't know you, but my life has been very interesting so far. In both in business and in my personal affairs, but do I have any regrets? Should I be saddened for what has happen? Absolutely not, and I will tell you why...

Each time I have failed, I have learned a valuable lesson that has either stopped me from making the same mistake again, or has shown me a far better way to achieve a particular goal than I had originally thought possible.

Life gives you these curves in order for you to learn a lesson, to somehow grow and mature into a person that becomes very valuable for yourself or those that around you. Without these problems of failure, you as a person would never grow and get what life have offerings to you.

Without the problem, you will not understand what you have to learn. I sometimes call it a Warning Sign. A warning that you have to either speed up or slow down. A warning that you are going down the wrong path or you have to look at the problem in a different angle.

Every time that a problem happens, I’ve learned to step back and see what I needed to learn from it to make me better than others. A lot of people don’t want to learn about themselves but the best lesson you can have in life is learning about yourself.

I have begun to think of failures more as gradual disclosures of enlightenment and less as personal catastrophes, because without them, my knowledgebase of potential pitfalls and my understanding of my ‘Self’ would be greatly diminished.

Failure then, presents us with a unique opportunity to re-think our life plan and educate ourselves not only in how we should proceed, but also, how we definitely should not proceed!

Job Blog: All you need to know...

A little something I read before I left for my interview today. I will post more articles here on job hunting, resume prep and anything that can contribute to your success. Please feel free to add anything here that can help others in their job search. Thanks

P.S. If you need help with a resume, please let me know. I'll be happy to help.

Preparation is key to a successful interview

Does the idea of going to a job interview make you feel a little queasy? Many people find that it is the hardest part of the hiring process. But it doesn’t have to be. The more you prepare and practice, the more comfortable you will feel.  Increase your odds of landing the job you want by brushing up on your interview skills.

Prepare before you go.
Find out all you can about the company before you go to the interview. Understand the products that they produce and/or the services that they provide. It’s also good to know who the customers are and who the major competitors are.

Practice makes perfect.
It will also make you feel more confident and relaxed. So, practice your answers to common questions. Make a list of questions to ask, too. Almost all interviewers will ask if you have questions. This is a great opportunity for you to show that you have done your homework and have put some thought into your questions

Make a great impression.
The interview is your chance to show that you are the best person for the job. Your application or resume has already exhibited that you are qualified. Now it ’s up to you to show how your skills and experience match this position and this company.

The employer will be looking and listening to determine if you are a good fit. He/she will be looking for a number of different qualities, in addition to the skills that you possess. To make the best impression, dress appropriately; sell your strengths; arrive early, by about 10-15 minutes; be enthusiastic; shake hands firmly; be an active listener; sit up straight and maintain eye contact; ask questions.

Say "thank you".
After the interview, follow up with a thank-you note. This is a chance for you to restate your interest and how you can benefit the company. Your best bet is to try to time it so that the note gets there before the hiring decision is made. You should also follow up with a phone call if you don’t hear back from the employer within the specified time. Check out some samples:

GRANTS OR SCHOLARSHIP TO PAY FOR MY EDUCATION

I AM SEEKING A GRANT OR SCHOLARSHIP TO PAY FOR THE EDUCATIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH MY RETURNING TO COLLEGE TO BECOME A TEACHER. I HAVE WORKED FOR THE NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION FOR 7 YEARS AS A CORRECTIONAL OFFICER, AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD A DESIRE IN MY HEART TO GO TO COLLEGE IN ORDER TO BECOME A TEACHER.

I TRULY FEEL THAT I CAN MAKE A POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE LIVES OF THE CHILDREN THAT I TEACH. I HAVE WITNESSED FIRST HAND, WORKING WITH THE DEPT OF CORRECTION WHAT HAPPENS TO CHILDREN WHO DONT GET MOTIVATED AND ENCOURAGED IN THEIR CHILDHOOD; I HAVE LEARNED THAT THOSE KIDS BECOME ADULTS WHO END UP MAKING DECISIONS THAT USUALLY RESULT IN DEATH OR INCARCERATION. I FEEL THAT WITH THIS KNOWLEGE INSTILLED IN ME I CAN BE THAT POSITIVE ROLE MODEL THAT SO MANY CHILDREN NEED AND DESIRE, AND IF I CAN PREVENT ONE PERSON FROM MAKING A WRONG DECISION THAT WILL DESTROY THEIR LIFE THEN I HAVE FOUND SUCCESS.

I DONT HAVE MANY NEEDS REGARDING EDUCATIONAL WISE, I COULD USE THE EXTRA MONEY TO PAY FOR MY SCHOOLING, AND I COULD ALSO AFFORD TO PAY MY BILLS SO THAT I CAN WORK LESS AND PAY MORE ATTENTION TO MY EDUATION.

Maxine

My name is Cynthia "Maxine" Creamer.  Shortly after my daughter Grace was born, my husband left the family. Grace was born with Downs Syndrome.  I have been employed for six years with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office as Executive Secretary to the Sheriff.  However, I have a great desire to start my own business.  My purpose for having my own business is threefold.  I want to be successful in my own business, I want to devote more time to my family and Grace's developmental needs and education and I want to impart to Grace talents and skills so that she too may succeed in life.
